Although Utopia is only a perception, I firmly believe we as individuals can – and should – strive to make a difference in our world – to make it better for all. It begins with you, and it begins with me. If we are happy, productive and “well,” we exercise influence over others whether we realize it or not. In our daily lives we will always find challenging opportunities. To this end, stephenmhannemann.com was created to share the bits of wisdom learned in my 30+ years of being in front of people in business, and as a writer.

Although I do not consider myself a religious man, I do have a profound belief in God and believe we are all spiritual beings created in His image and likeness. It is my belief God is more interested in having a personal relationship than He is in our rules or denominational boundaries. My intent is not to foist my Christian beliefs on others, but only an invitation for anyone to experience the peace our Creator and his Son Jesus Christ have to offer in these topsy-turvy times in which we live. With that stated you are invited to read my bi-monthly posts and hopefully enjoy bits of humor and wisdom picked up along my life’s journey.

New posts will appear every other Wednesday. It may be an essay, a simple quote, a tidbit of wisdom or a political commentary. It may take the form of a story or sharing about one of my passions: writing, cooking, fishing or as of late, golf. Whatever form it takes, hopefully you will visit regularly with an open mind, enjoy, learn and pass this blog on to others in the spirit of becoming better and making our world a better place. Always remember, each of us has the power to influence others and we do, every day.
